The Unité d’Habitation of Marseille
The Fondation Le Corbusier, in partnership with the European Federation of Le Corbusier Inhabitants, opens a window on the lives of the residents of the Unités d’Habitation during the confinement period. In Rezé, Marseille, Briey, Firminy and Berlin, residents invent a different way of living together, and bear witness to the human and social dimension of the 5 Unités d’Habitation “made for people, made on a human scale”. (Le Corbusier).
The Cité Radieuse of Marseille presents a mask-making workshop, solidarity deliveries, a resident’s 80th birthday, a staircase sports challenge, an egg hunt and, finally, a collective thank-you “to front-line workers”.
