Centenary of Le Corbusier's Atelier

On 18 September 1924, Le Corbusier set up his architectural studio at 35 rue de Sèvres in Paris.
With his cousin Pierre Jeanneret, he took over the 1st floor of a former Jesuit convent in St-Germain-des-Prés, right next to the church of Sainte-Ignace.
Over a period of just over 40 years, this cosmopolitan agency welcomed several hundred young architects, men and women, from different countries and backgrounds.
Today we are celebrating the centenary of this opening, and on 5 and 6 December, we will be continuing this anniversary with the Rencontres de la Fondation, which will be devoted to this theme in order to pay tribute to this unique place, to Le Corbusier and to all his collaborators.
